Find out what your friends really think.
Get a link, put it on your story, and read the anonymous messages that come in. Free, no app, and it works right inside Instagram.
How it works
Create your link
Type your name and you get a link like secretmessage.me/yourname123. Takes ten seconds.
Share it to your story
Post the story card we make for you and add your link with Instagram's link sticker. WhatsApp, Snapchat and X work too.
Read what comes in
New messages land in your inbox straight away. Turn the best ones into story cards and reply to everyone at once.
Honest messages, without the drama
Anonymous for real
No sender accounts, no IP logging, no fake “see who sent it” upsell.
Made for the Instagram browser
Other sites tell you to copy the link and open Chrome. Ours just works when friends tap your link sticker.
Protection from mean messages
Threats, slurs and “kys” messages are hidden before you see them. Report or block anyone with one tap.
Questions that get answers
Pick a prompt like “Ask me anything” or “Tell me a secret”, or write your own, so friends know what to say.
Need to send something that disappears?
Write a secret note and get a link that works once. It's encrypted in your browser, and it's deleted the moment it's read.
Questions
Is it really anonymous?
Yes. Senders don't need an account, and we don't save their IP address, device or location with the message. Not even we can tell you who sent it.
Can I find out who sent a message?
No, and nobody else can either. Apps that promise to “reveal the sender” for a fee are guessing or making it up. Anonymous has to mean anonymous for people to be honest with you.
How do I add my link to my Instagram story?
Tap “Share to story” in your inbox to save a ready-made story image. Post it on Instagram, tap the sticker button, choose “Link”, and paste your secret message link. Friends tap the sticker to send you a message.
What happens if someone sends something mean?
Messages with slurs, threats or self-harm insults are hidden automatically, so you only see them if you choose to. You can delete any message, report it, or block the person who sent it from messaging you again.
How do I open my inbox on another phone?
Save your board with Google from the inbox settings. After that, log in with the same Google account on any device. If you don't save it, your board lives only in the browser where you made it.
Is it free?
Yes. Creating a link, receiving messages and sending secret notes are all free.
